Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client seeks incumbent who be responsible for extracting, reporting and analysing of data to meet set company requirements as well as providing data to and requesting data from other sources.  It would also include DBA duties as well as creating user profiles.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

	Completed tertiary qualifications in Information Technology/ or certifications  MS SQL, Adv. Excel etc
	Knowledge of SQL
	High level of numerical and analytical ability
	High level of accuracy and attention to detail
	Capacity for flexible and innovative thinking
	Attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and communicate relevant information effectively (within turn around times)
	Good knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, graphs, filter formatting required)
	Excellent communication skills, good command of the English language

RESPONSIBILITIES:

	Extracting data and providing a breakdown of data based on client and company requirements
	Serving adhoc requess which require extraction, manipulation, analysis and presentation of data to support operational and strategic business marketing requirements
	Identifying data required to answer questions defined by the Senior Data Analyst
	Setting up queries to extract data from the database
	Designing, coding, testing and implementing query programs
	Performing data quality tests on data resources
	Documenting query programs and database specifications
	Ensuring delivery output is accurate, well documented and meets pre-defined quality standards
	Ad hoc DBA duties
